Yosemite National Park

Campgrounds of Yosemite

When looking at the large number of campgrounds listed below, do NOT assume that there is plenty of space for everyone. Yosemite is probably the most difficult of any national park to obtain a campsite during the summer season and beyond. In fact, Yosemite has its own special reservations policy. Rather than the rolling six month window that every other park uses, sites in Yosemite go on sale in 1 month blocks on the 15th of each month, five months in advance.

For example, on March 15th, dates between July 15th and August 14th become available. This currently unlocks at 10AM ET. If you are not online and reserving at precisely 10AM, you will NOT get a site in the valley. Scattered sites at the other reservation campgrounds MAY remain available for anywhere from a few hours to a few weeks. People do occasionally cancel, but it is blind luck at best to find them.
