Getting to Rocky Mountain

Trail Ridge Road is the main route through the park. It can be reached from the east via US-34 or US-36. From the west or south, take US-40 from I-70 to US-34 through Grand Lake into the park. CO-7 also runs north and south along the park's east side. It provides access to the Longs Peak and Wild Basin areas, and enters the town of Estes Park at its northern end.

The Denver International Airport (DEN) is the major airport of the region. It has a wide variety of airline service and car rental. It is about a 90 minute drive to Estes Park and the eastern entrances of Fall River and Beaver Meadows. We suggest using Expedia when searching for your flights and rental cars. Use the suggested airport code(s) above for the fastest results. The search box defaults to flight searches. To change to a rental car search, simply click the arrows next to the airplane icon in the upper right corner of the box.
