Getting to Channel Islands

Channel Islands National Park can be reached only by concessioner operated boats and seaplanes, or by private boat. Authorized boat concessioners are Island Packers and Truth Aquatics. Seaplanes are operated by Channel Islands Aviation. To get to the visitor center, located on the mainland, use US-101. Northbound, take the Victoria Avenue exit, turn left on Victoria, turn right onto Olivas Park Drive which becomes Spinnaker Drive. The visitor center is located at the end of Spinnaker Drive in the Ventura Harbor. Southbound, take the Seaward Avenue exit, turn left onto Harbor Boulevard, then turn right onto Spinnaker Drive. The visitor center is located at the end of Spinnaker Drive in the Ventura Harbor.

Major airline service and car rental is abundant in southern California. The airports at Los Angeles (LAX), Burbank (BUR) and Santa Barbara (SBA) are all an hour or less from the visitor center. We suggest using Expedia when searching for your flights and rental cars. Use the suggested airport code(s) above for the fastest results. The search box defaults to flight searches. To change to a rental car search, simply click the arrows next to the airplane icon in the upper right corner of the box.
