About Mesa Verde Weather
Mesa Verde National Park has warm to sometimes hot weather during the summer. Winter is also often mild, although snow storms can occur as late as May and as early as October. Afternoon thunderstorms are common during July and August. Often these thunderstorms occur with heavy lightning and little to no rain, which can lead to one of the region's common wildires. Mesa Verde is one of the most often lightning struck places in the United States.
