Getting to Dry Tortugas
There are no roads to Dry Tortugas National Park. It is located 70 miles west of Key West in the Gulf of Mexico. The only access is by concessioner boat, seaplane, or private boat. To reach Key West, follow US-1, the Overseas Highway.
There is an airport right on Key West (EYW) with major airline service and car rental. From the mainland, airports in Miami (MIA) and Fort Lauderdale (FLL) are each about a three hour drive from Key West. We suggest using Expedia when searching for your flights and rental cars. Use the suggested airport code(s) above for the fastest results. The search box defaults to flight searches. To change to a rental car search, simply click the arrows next to the airplane icon in the upper right corner of the box.
