Katmai National Park is extremely remote, and can only be reached by float plane. There are three small lodges in the park. They are all run by the concessioner, Katmailand. Rates are very high, due to the small capacity and remote location, and reservations should be made far in advance. Katmailand also handles air service to and from the area, as well as flightseeing within the park itself.

No lodging is available outside the park within any sort of reasonable distance. Accomodations for Katmai are either at the in-park lodges or camping.
