Joshua Tree National Park has no lodging inside the park boundaries. Most of the park is remote, but the city of Twentynine Palms is just north of the North Entrance. The city of Yucca Valley is about 10 miles from the West Entrance, and just north of the Black Rock Canyon area. Both cities have all necessary services. The Palm Springs area is about 20 miles further west of Yucca Valley and is a major destination in itself.
