Redwood National and State Parks runs down a stretch of the northern California coast. Crescent City is the hub for the park's areas and activities. From the north, take US-199 to US-101 into town. From the south, follow US-101 north.

Regional airports with limited major airline service and car rental operate locally out of Crescent City (CEC), in Eureka (ACV), less than an hour south, and Medford, Oregon (MFR), two hours northeast.
