About Lassen Volcanic Weather

Lassen Volcanic National Park's weather defines the park. Huge amounts of snow fall each winter, starting in October, and not melting in many places until July, if at all. However, temperatures, even in winter, are usually relatively mild. Summers are warm and dry with cool nights. The statistics below are taken from the tiny town of Mineral, just south of the park. Mineral is a bit warmer than the average location in the park.
