The Roads of Lassen Volcanic

The main park road of Lassen Volcanic is accessed from the south off of CA-36, 45 miles east of Red Bluff, or from the north off of CA-44, 50 miles east of Redding. Unpaved access roads to Warner Valley and Juniper Lake are reached out of the city of Chester. These roads are closed by deep snow for most of the year, typically open only June through October. In some years, the roads have not completely opened until mid July.
