Getting to Katmai
There are no roads in or around the park. The only access is by air taxi or boat.
The nearest airport with major airline service and car rental is in Anchorage (ANC). Of course, car rental does no good where Katmai National Park is concerned. Air taxis can be taken from Anchorage on to King Salmon (AKN) or the park. Alaska Airlines serves King Salmon from Anchorage in the summer months. We suggest using Expedia when searching for your flights and rental cars. Use the suggested airport code(s) above for the fastest results. The search box defaults to flight searches.
