Ryan Ranch Trailhead
The Ryan Ranch Trailhead is on the left. This is an easy half mile hike to the ruins of an old ranch.

Keys View Road
On the left is Keys View Road, which leads 5.4 miles to the best vista point in the park. A paved walkway runs along the viewpoint area, and Keys View Loop Trail is available as well.

Keys Ranch, Barker Dam, Hidden Valley
Several destinations are grouped together here. Keys Ranch and Barker Dam hikes, as well as the Hidden Valley Campground, are on the right.

Hidden Valley Nature Trailhead
Hidden Valley Nature Trail and Picnic Area, as well as Intersection Rock, are on the left.

Hemingway Climbing Area
The parking area for the Hemingway climbing area is on the left. This also happens to be a convenient place to stop for scenery and joshua trees.

Boy Scout Trailhead
Parking for the Boy Scout Trail is on the right. At least a short walk should be taken here, as it allows a great closeup view of lots of joshua trees.

Entrance Station
The road passes through the entrance station for the West Entrance. If you're taking this route in reverse, the entrance fee must be paid here or a valid pass shown. Even if you are exiting, you may need to show proof of payment or your pass.

Park Boundary
The road passes the entrance sign at the West Entrance and leaves the park. It continues on 5 miles to a visitor center and the town of Joshua Tree.
