Bryson City is a very nice escape from the more common areas of Cherokee and Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge. It is a quiet small town area missing most of the tourist traps and the overbearing crowds. Its section of the park however, Deep Creek, is enormously popular, especially in the summer, as floating the creek in tubes is a favorite pasttime. Three waterfalls are also within easy hiking distance. In addition to its proximity to the Deep Creek area, it is also within 20 minutes of the main park section at the Cherokee entrance, so it is an excellent alternative for those who can do without the endless attractions and amenities (or for those who specifically are looking to avoid them).
We offer two methods of finding lodging in the area. The first is a search via
Expedia. This will give you a good pricing comparison, and a number of property options. After the search we list some specific properties with details and a link to book directly with the property. Lodging is listed according to distance from the noted park destination.
