Getting to Great Basin

With the exception of the tiny town of Baker, Great Basin is far from civilization. US-50 (named "America's Loneliest Road", for good reason) runs east and west through Nevada. NV-487 leads south five miles from US-50 to the town of Baker and the park entrance.

The nearest airports with major airline service and car rental are in Salt Lake City, Utah (SLC), over four hours away, and Las Vegas (LAS), over five hours away. We suggest using Travelocity when searching for your flights and rental cars. Use the suggested airport codes above for the fastest results.
