About Dry Tortugas Weather

Dry Tortugas National Park has a subtropical climate. April and May typically have the best conditions. There are two main seasons: The winter season from December to March, which can be windy with rough seas, and the tropical storm season from June to November, during which Dry Tortugas has both hot, humid weather with calm seas or severe weather. If you plan to visit by private watercraft, an accurate nautical forecast is essential. Those arriving by ferry or seaplane charter can rely on the operator to check weather.
