Getting to Carlsbad Caverns
US-62/US-180 provides the sole road access to Carlsbad Caverns. The entrance road is 23 miles southwest of the town of Carlsbad, New Mexico, or 150 miles east of the city of El Paso, Texas.
The closest airport with major airline service and car rental is in El Paso (ELP). There is a small airport in Carlsbad (CNM) that has regional service from Albuquerque (ABQ), about 5 hours and 306 miles away.
