Getting to Capitol Reef
From I-70, take UT-24 from exit 48 in the west or exit 149 in the east and follow it for over an hour to the park. Many people visit as an extension of a trip to Bryce Canyon National Park. One of the more scenic drives in the United States connects the two parks, UT-12. This road leads from Bryce to the town of Torrey over a drive of 109 miles.
The nearest airport with major airline service and car rental is in Grand Junction, Colorado (GJT), over three hours away.
